A significant part of the design phase involved workshops with the client. A broad cross-section of people from within Aurecon took part in understanding the existing needs, looking at previous failures, looking at wish lists for the future and evaluating what they needed to be able to serve their customers.
The goal was focusing on day 1 active utilisation. By employees engaging with the app and using the rooms and technology, the transition into the new building was smooth and simple. Productivity and client engagements was high from day one. Aurecon are agile in the way they work and needed hardware that was reliable and software that was flexible to change and grow with them.
With offices all around the world they wanted consistency of experience while leveraging off the common server platforms. All devices are on Aurecon’s network. All video, audio and control is transported via this network. In addition to the use if AV over IP, we delivered a software solution designed to assist an employee to navigate through day and the technology seemlessly.
Completed in 2018, the Smart Workplace solution assists in maintaining Aurecon's innovative and sustainable building. With a flexible and open plan workspace, the digital wayfinding application allows staff and clients to locate one another, find and book available desks, meeting rooms and break-out areas, locate kitchens and more.
